Dr. Chong Ler became a qualified dentist in 2015 after obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery from AIMST University.
In 2022, she completed 3- years full time training program and attained her Masters Degree in Orthodontics with distinction from Cardiff University, United Kingdom to become a certified specialist in Orthodontics, registered as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr. Chong Ler became a registered specialist with the National Specialist Registrar as a certified specialist orthodontist in 2023 (Specialist Registration Number: ORTHO178). In 2025, she was honoured with the Professional Achievement Award (Distinguished Alumni Award) by her alma mater, AIMST University.
Her active involvement as an Honorary Treasurer in the Malaysian Dental Association Southern Zone suggests a commitment to the dental community and a willingness to contribute to the field beyond clinical practice. Additionally, she is also a member of both the British Orthodontic Society (BOS) and the Malaysian Orthodontic Association (MOA).
Dr. Chong Ler provides orthodontic treatment to patients ranging in age from as young as 5 to as old as 65 years old depending on the patient’s need. She also provides orthodontic treatment for patient who requires jaw surgery in collaboration with oral maxillofacial surgeon at Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA) Johor Bahru, Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) and University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC).
