Braces treatment is a dental procedure that helps to straighten crooked or misaligned teeth, improving both their function and appearance. This orthodontic treatment involves the use of brackets, wires, and elastics to gradually move teeth into their correct position, resulting in a beautiful, healthy smile. Whether you’re a teenager or an adult, braces can help you achieve a smile that you’ll be proud to show off.

Orthodontic is a branch of dentistry which straighten the misaligned teeth, correct bite issues/ malocclusion and address other problems that might be affecting the form and function of the teeth. This improves appearance, position and function of the abnormal position teeth.
Usually it takes about 1- 2.5 years. It varies among individuals. Failed to attend monthly appointment may lead to a longer duration of treatment.
Usually teeth may be tender for the first few days of treatment. Tenderness is because your teeth is activated and moved by the brackets and wires. You will get used to it after 3 months or lesser. Mild painkiller and mouth ulcer gel can be used to relieve the pain.
Avoid hard or sticky food such as apples, chicken bones, nuts, chewing gums etc. These might breaks the wire and brackets. Take a good care of your oral hygiene is mandatory during the treatment. Use orthodontic toothbrush and floss every day.
